We are studying a sci-fi-opera-genre book by David Weber.  The first book in the series is named “On Basilisk Station”.  In a distance future, mankind has spread among the stars.  Honor Harrington is Naval officer in the space fleet of the Star Kingdom of Manticore.  She has a nasty habit (vis-a-vis her enemies) to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.  She has a talent for getting out of tight spots using only her intellect, thus earning her the nickname of “The Salamander”.  Join us as we read about and discuss her adventures.

We are reading and discussing Book 6 of the Harry Potter series, “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince”. Join us as we read about and discuss his adventures against the forces of the Dark Lord.
