Requirements
- The student should have a very basic knowledge of English.
Target audiences
- This course is intended for non-native English speakers who wish to improve their English writing skills.
This writing course is intended to present a comprehensive coverage of all English grammar beginning with the eight parts of speech and extending up to and including crafting the four most common types of essays using the five-paragraph essay model. The information in this course is presented in a well-structured manner suitable for all levels of students. It may be especially applicable to students who know they need to improve their English but feel lost as to how to do so. This course will provide lost, wandering students with a compass and a map that will lead them down the yellow brick road to Emerald City, whereupon they will get to meet the Great Wizard of Oz (or Teacher Lee, depending on availability), who will then grant them an official Outstanding Worthy Learner (OWL) Award to mark this most notable achievement in their lives.
As the saying goes, Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither will your journey to English proficiency be completed in a day. This course is designed to be done at the rate of one lesson per week over a 30-week period. However, it is designed to be self-study and self-paced, so finishing earlier or taking longer are equal possibilities.
